Digital Printing in India

*Digital Printing*

Digital color printing has started in the field of printing since 1998. These manufacturing companies have from the beginning charged per print according to the FSMA method and include the raw material and maintenance required. When selling a machine, you are constantly being introduced to new models with huge promises, _literally rosy dreams,_ and are made to sign the agreement copy without even giving you a chance to read it.
For next 4-5 years the same companies around us sell machines at lower prices than us in the competition, however we keep doing business and repay the machine loan installments. until the loan is over, at the end of 5th year the agreement is also over, now we have only options, either replace this machine or pay extra FSMA. This has been going on for years. If the machine is sold to someone else, the buyer is denied FSMA, the resale value is not even 10%. That means we don’t even get 25% of the initial investment. But if we want to buy another machine from them, they will give us a new machine at a handsome price by giving an attractive buyback (in other words, cleverly taking it out of our own pocket and showing us business rival threat), and they will literally make us work again for the next 5 years. We should take some concrete steps through the association to stop this vicious cycle.
A couple of points that I’ve run into myself
* When the machine can provide comfortable production for at least 7 years + 2 years and it is maintained due to fsma, why is the machine service only 5 years in the agreement?
* The same company sells the same model at half price in the previous 6 months, even around you, that too by showing the figure of your sales counter.
* Complaints about getting service on time after selling Bharmasat machines are increasing day by day
* Fsma rates are often hiked without much notice in between, while new models continue to have fsma offers at lower prices.
* The company never gives a satisfactory answer that most of the machines do not perform as claimed in the technical sheet of the machine. The sales people who sold us the machine with rosy dreams have changed by then.
* Today many non-fsma old machines are being sold and working for very less money, how do they get official raw material from the same company? It means that the manufacturer is cheating those who have invested a lot and installed the machine, besides selling the raw material to non fsma dealers, they are eating cream from both sides.
_Expectations from the Association_
* FSMA AGREEMENT must be obtained for at least 7+2 years at the same rate
* If the price of the machine increases by more than 15% in at least 2 years, the concerned buyer should get compensation, his investment should get protection.
* If the company is selling those new machines in fsma then they must stop supplying their raw material in open market.

I have been in the digital printing business for 25 years and still suffer from this problem so I can’t imagine what these companies are doing to new professionals…

It is expected that everyone will present their position/opinions and discuss this in detail…
thank you
